Already certified and ready to explore Tenerife underwater? Join Barbarian Diving for relaxed, professionally guided fun dives around Tenerife South β volcanic reefs, walls, caves, sandy areas and wrecks β with local guides who choose the best site for your certification, experience and the day's conditions.
Small groups of no more than four divers per guide, giving you more space, personal attention and time to enjoy each dive without feeling rushed. Full dive equipment and a dive computer are included in every dive.

A good fun dive should feel like an underwater adventure, not a guided tour with a large group of strangers. We keep our groups small and organise divers according to experience, certification and comfort level whenever possible. Before entering the water, your guide explains the dive plan, maximum depth, conditions, marine life and safety procedures β then we follow a relaxed pace, adjusted to the group's air consumption and experience.
Tenerife's volcanic coastline offers excellent shore diving, with reefs, rock formations, sandy areas, swim-throughs and marine life accessible directly from the coast β a great choice for divers who prefer a relaxed experience and longer bottom times.
Depending on conditions and your experience, we may visit dive sites around Los Cristianos and other locations across Tenerife South.
All prices are per person and include full dive equipment, tanks, weights, a dive computer and an experienced guide. Divers bringing their own complete equipment can contact us to ask about the available discount.
Book shore divingBoat diving lets us reach some of Tenerife's most exciting underwater landscapes β dramatic walls, deeper volcanic reefs, wrecks and sites that cannot be comfortably reached from shore. The site is selected according to sea conditions, diver experience and certification level; some deeper or more demanding locations may require Advanced Open Water or equivalent experience.
Includes the boat trip, full dive equipment, tanks, weights, dive computer and professional guide.
Book boat divingAt night, familiar dive sites become completely different. Octopus, crabs, moray eels and other nocturnal animals become more active, while your torch beam reveals colours and details often missed during the day. Suitable diving certification and recent experience are required; an underwater torch is provided when needed.
Tenerife's combination of volcanic reefs and sandy seabeds creates habitats for a wide variety of Atlantic marine life. Depending on the dive site and season, you may encounter:

Wild animals are never guaranteed, but our local guides know the dive sites and the areas where different species are commonly found. We follow a strict look-but-do-not-touch approach β divers must maintain good buoyancy, avoid chasing animals and respect Tenerife's underwater environment.
We select the dive site according to your certification, recent experience, interests and the weather and sea conditions β Tenerife South offers options for newly certified Open Water Divers as well as experienced Advanced and specialty divers.
Lava formations, rocky plateaus and cracks filled with moray eels, octopus and reef fish.
Search the sand for rays, angelsharks, cuttlefish and other well-camouflaged animals.
Dramatic volcanic walls covered in marine life, with larger fish passing through the blue.
Some of Tenerife's most atmospheric wreck sites, for suitably certified and experienced divers.
Arches and caverns chosen for your certification and comfort β no technical cave penetration.
From gentle turtle encounters to volcanic wall dives past 40m β explore the map and pick your spot.
Boat-dive prices also include the boat journey.
Fun dives are available to certified divers from recognised training organisations such as SSI, PADI, SDI, RAID, CMAS and equivalent agencies. Bring proof of certification or your digital certification card β your dive plan and maximum depth will always stay within your certification and experience.
No need to feel embarrassed if it's been months or years since your last dive. Our Scuba Refresher helps you review equipment setup, safety procedures, buoyancy and essential skills before continuing with regular fun dives. It may be recommended depending on your break, logged dives and previous experience.
View the Scuba Refresher βValid scuba-diving insurance is mandatory in Tenerife β bring confirmation of your cover, or contact us beforehand and we'll help arrange daily DAN insurance. You'll also complete the required medical questionnaire and liability documentation; a doctor's certificate may be required depending on your answers. Please tell us honestly about any medication, medical conditions, recent illness or previous diving problems.
Please avoid excessive alcohol the evening before diving and arrive properly rested and hydrated. Remember you must leave sufficient time between diving and flying β contact us when planning your final dive day if you're unsure.
