Five adventure dives: deep, navigation, wreck, buoyancy and night, to expand your skills.

Already certified and craving more? Over 2 to 3 days you complete five different adventure dives that take you beyond the basics, guided by our instructors. It earns the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification (equivalent to Advanced Open Water) and is a prerequisite for some specialties and the Rescue course.

Deep Dive

Explore Tenerife's Atlantic waters down to 30 metres. Discover how pressure, colour and light change as you go deeper and build the confidence to explore the underwater world like never before.

Navigation

Learn to find your way underwater using a compass and natural references. Never get lost on a dive again, a skill that will make you a more confident and independent diver for the rest of your life.

Night Dive

Experience Tenerife's underwater world after dark. Armed with a torch, you'll discover nocturnal creatures that hide during the day, octopus hunting, moray eels on the move, and a completely different ocean waiting to be explored.

Perfect Buoyancy

Master the most important skill in diving. Learn to hover effortlessly in the water, use less air, protect the reef and make every dive more enjoyable. Divers who nail their buoyancy are instantly better in every situation underwater.

Wreck

Explore one of Tenerife's fascinating underwater wrecks. A hauntingly beautiful experience, swim through history as marine life has transformed these structures into thriving artificial reefs. One of the most memorable dives you will ever do.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Open Water certification for this course?

Yes, a valid SSI or equivalent Open Water Diver certification is required. If you don't have it yet, you can complete Open Water with us first and go straight into Advanced during the same holiday.

How long does the Advanced course take?

It takes 2 to 3 days to complete 5 adventure dives, one for each discipline, fitting neatly into a short holiday.

Is the certification recognised worldwide?

Yes, a lifetime qualification accepted at dive centres around the world.

How deep will I dive?

Up to a maximum of 30 metres, a big step up from Open Water's 18 metres, opening up deeper reefs, wrecks and marine life.

Do the 5 dives need to be done in order?

No, we plan them around the best conditions and dive sites available during your stay.

What happens if sea conditions aren't suitable?

We reschedule or move to an alternative sheltered site, safety always comes first.

Can I fly before or after diving?

Flying before diving is fine. After your last dive, wait at least 18 to 24 hours before flying home.

What equipment do I need?

Nothing, all equipment is included: full scuba gear, dive computer, wetsuit and a torch for the night dive.
